Built before the requirement is written.

Bana Labs is where we design and build what the mission will ask for next.

Any tech vendor can promise a capability. We would rather have already built it. We fund and staff our own engineering in the three practices we deliver, so when a mission asks for governed AI, AI-assisted identity governance, or machine-speed feature extraction, we bring working software and measured results, not a slide. We designed and built everything on this page to production standards, and each is ready to move into a program.

Built to enterprise standards.

Every Labs capability is engineered the way we deliver production systems: multi-tenant by design, governed by a human decision at every consequential step, tested against published measurement ceilings, and taken through independent security and engineering review with every finding closed in writing. What you see here is ready to transition into your program, on your network.

A governed agent platform for regulated enterprises.

An enterprise agent platform that takes work from a ticket or a message, plans it, executes it against code and live systems, and returns a reviewed result. Every privileged action waits for a persisted, attributed, single-use human decision; autonomy is capped per project and can only be lowered. Agents operate under brokered, revocable credentials with a per-use audit ledger, export compliance evidence mapped to NIST SP 800-171, and route each role to the model the program’s classification permits, including models that never leave your boundary.

Put AI agents to work inside a regulated program without handing them the keys: a named person makes every consequential decision, the platform produces its own authorization evidence, and models never leave your boundary. Proven through 7,745 automated tests and four independent inspections closed at zero high findings.

Identity governance from plain language, at enterprise scale.

A multi-tenant governance platform that derives approvers, segregation-of-duty rules, and requestability from an ontology and a relationship graph instead of hand-built roles. A model running inside your boundary turns a plain-language description into the access-request workflow; every decision carries a human-readable trace, and policies authored once publish to Open Policy Agent enforcement points with verified parity. It layers onto the identity providers you already run, so nothing has to be replaced to adopt it.

Access governance that stays current as your enterprise changes. Running identity at national scale taught us the real bottleneck is hand-built roles nobody can maintain, so this platform derives them from plain language and publishes policy to your enforcement points with proof of parity, on the identity provider you already own. Hardened through seven rounds of independent review.

Automated feature extraction with the analyst in command.

An end-to-end pipeline built for imagery at scale: detection models propose features, each proposal is conflated against national holdings and resolved to a persistent entity identifier, a vision-language model cross-examines the detectors, and analysts adjudicate the residual with a single keystroke into a ledger that doubles as training signal. It runs on enterprise cloud and on a footprint small enough for the disconnected tactical edge, with no cloud dependency, so one capability serves the enterprise and the forward site. People approve, waive, or publish; agents only screen.

Turn imagery into decisions faster than analysts can be hired, with the analyst still in command: the pipeline proposes, cross-checks, and resolves features to persistent identifiers; analysts adjudicate only the residual, and every call trains the next round. Runs on enterprise cloud or a footprint that fits a tactical link, measured against a published accuracy ceiling.

Nontraditional by design.

We deliver Labs capabilities through Other Transaction agreements as a nontraditional defense contractor, with Government Purpose Rights, so a capability that proves out moves into a program without a restart. A defense innovation biosurveillance capability was delivered that way. Continuous Access Evaluation and graph-based threat detection went from Bana Labs into a customer’s production, among the first in the federal government, and from there into SpecterIQ, where agent identity joined them.

Labs pays off in delivery.

  • The agent platform’s decision gates and review loop are the discipline we apply to every pipeline we ship
  • The governance platform’s ontology and policy compiler shape how we design identity governance on the platforms you already run
  • The feature-extraction harness, with its published ceiling and champion gate, is our template for AI test, evaluation, verification, and validation

Bana Labs is not a separate building. The engineers who built these capabilities deliver your engagement.
